Pampanito Submarine School, Where History Meets Science (PSS) FAQ Sheet

  • PSS is an overnight science-based fieldtrip
  • PSS is designed for 7th and 8th grade students
  • PSS is offered Tuesdays and Thursdays, November through February.
  • PSS takes place aboard the WWII submarine USS Pampanito
  • The Pampanito is permanently moored at Pier 45, in San Francisco
  • The submarine is closed to the public during the program.
  • Cost is $58 per child/$35 per adult.
  • There is a 20 student, paid minimum and a 30 student maximum.
  • PSS begins at 3:30 pm and ends at 8:30 am the following morning
  • The schools must supply a teacher and 5 other adult chaperones (over 21 years old).
  • Participants must supply their own bedding
