USS Pampanito Five Inch 25 Caliber Wet Mount Gun Missing Parts
Below are photos of some of the harder to replicate missing parts for the five inch gun:
Missing training scale. Photos from gun at the Washington Navy Yard museum. Note the scale has more mounting holes than the drawing, or stand supports. On the top photo you can also see the threaded holes for mounting the missing training cam on the outside bottom of the stand.
Missing training cam. Photos from USS Drum. Note the stand is not correctly aligned on deck. Also it is trained on the wrong side of the stop bolts and the stops are missing.
Missing training cam photos from USS Lionfish. It has a simpler profile than the one on Drum
Foundation on USS Drum. The diamond plate was added in the museum to fill the hole for safety with no gun installed.
We are working on replica reticle lamp housings.
Boresight Mk 25, we have the telescope Mk 75 to go in the mount.
No photo, but we are also looking for 5" 25 cal drill shells, these are usually wood
These photos are from a video of the gun at the Museu Eduardo Andre Matarazzo (Bebedouro, Brazil). They show lights on the training scale, elevating scale, sight drum, and the wires leading to the missing sight binoculars. The wires lead to a junction box inside the carriage. The three screws and a hole are probably for a missing gun captain sound powered phone jack.
