USS PAMPANITO (SS-383)CREW REUNION This photograph was taken of the crew at Hunters Point Naval Shipyard during the Spring of 1945 during a refit to prepare for Pampanito's seventh patrol. The wartime crew of USS Pampanito has held five reunions aboard the boat since the submarine opened to the public as a museum in 1982. In addition to renewing old friendships, the crew participated in an oral history project to gather the remembrances of Pampanito's most important asset, her crew.
