LOOSE STORES
WEWAK
(1) STEREO OF BEACH DUMP SHOWN IN OBLIQUE VIEW (2). Though taken at a different time only one pile of such supplies, as are shown here on the beach, is present in the vertical. Fuel drums and crated supplies (canned foods or ammunition) make up the major part of this dump. Most of the piles are canvas-covered. Note the trucks.

(2) LOOSE STORES (SOME CANVAS COVERED) ON BEACH AND IN PALM GROVE. The light tone of these individual piles contrasted with the darker, even-textured vegetation, make such dump areas noticeable.

PARAMUSHIRO
LOOSE STORES ON BEACH. Such a dump is only temporary, a distribution point, and as such is likely to contain a wide variety of supply types. At this scale little can be determined as to the character of the materials. An additional area of loose stores is located near the barracks group in right center of the photograph.
