UNDERGROUND STORAGE MALOELAP Sod-covered underground water settling tank. This type storage is in common use by the Japanese. The photo below shows a close up of a similar structure on WOTJE. Note the ventilators and the two corner entrances. TENIAN Underground ammo storage (concrete). This is typical of Japanese 'inner bases'.These underground concrete magazines are detectable by the roadways leading down into them and by the regular ventilator pattern on the roof. 14
